Red Split Lentil soup (Mercimek çorbası)


Preparation
Red Split Lentil soup  (Mercimek çorbası)Wash and drain lentils. Place in a pan and add water. Cook over low heat. Stir in finely chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper; mix.

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. Place into a food processor container. Process until well blended. Melt margarine in a skillet. Stir in flour. Stir constantly until light gold.

Blend in tomato paste. Stir in soup. Serve hot with lemon juice.
