Turkish Pizza with ground meat (Lahmancun)


Preparation
Turkish Pizza with ground meat (Lahmancun) Sift the flour into a large dish and reserve 1 cup flour. Add 1 tablespoon salt to the remaining flour, mix and make a whole in the middle.

Blend the yeast and sugar with ¼ cup water, pour into the whole and sprinkle with some flour. Cover the dish and leave in a warm environment to rise for about 15 minutes.

Add ½ cup oil and add the yogurt. Knead for 10 minutes until it doesn’t stick to your hands and leave to rise for 45 minutes in a warm environment.

Peel the onions and the garlic, wash and chop very finely.

Wash the green peppers, tomatoes and parsley, remove the stem and seeds of the green peppers, separate the parsley leaves.

Chop the tomatoes and the peppers very finely (2 mm thick).
Chop the parsley finely.

Mix the tomatoes, peppers, onion, parsley and the ground meat adding and mixing ¼ cup of water, hot pepper sauce and the seasoning.

Divide the dough into eight pieces. Grease a baking pan with 1 tablespoon oil. Roll out each piece of dough into half a centimetre thick round pastries.

Spread each piece with the ground meat filling.

Bake for 10 minutes in pre-heated moderate oven.
Serve with slices of lemon, parsley and onion.
